Improving the Discussion Around Indigenous Financial Literacy
Improving the discussion around Indigenous Financial Literacy by making the content relatable to Indigenous people.
What We Offer
We offer a one-day presentation and workshop which consists of participants learning the basics of financial literacy. We delve into the hands on exercise of creating a budget and some pointers on what makes a successful budget. After each presentation, participants are given a certificate of completion.
Services
We provide financial literacy for Indigenous communities.
Although you will find tons of financial literacy information out there, much of the content doesn’t apply to Indigenous people and communities. This inevitably makes it hard for Indigenous people to relate to financial literacy content that is currently out there. Indigenous communities are receiving windfalls unlike anything they have ever seen in the past. This sudden large amount of money would be hard for anyone to manage.
Bridging Financial Literacy offers to address the gap in service by delivering a one-day or two-day presentations. Bridging Financial Literacy focuses on producing Indigenous applicable/relatable financial literacy. If we teach people how to manage their finances, it will help them in the long run.
Building Financial Literacy’s primary clients are Indigenous communities within the health, education, CFS post majority clients who were formerly in care and aging out of CFS clients.
